Getting to Phi Phi Island

Phi Phi Island lies between Phuket and Krabi, both of which have international airports. There are direct flights from Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, Hong Kong and during the high season, from some European countries as well as Australia.

From Bangkok, Thai Air operates 10 to 12 flights a day between Bangkok and Phuket and about 5 flights per day from Bangkok to Krabi. Budget airline AirAsia operates about 4 flights a day to Phuket and about 3 flights a day to Krabi

From Phuket to Phi Phi Island
Morning ferries leave at 8:30 am from Rasada Pier in Phuket town. The afternoon ferries leave at 1:30 pm and 14:30 from the Ratsada pier which is located on Koh Sirey Island in Phuket Town. All of these ferries arrive into the main pier in Tonsai Bay, Phi Phi Island with the journey taking about 1 hour 45 mins. Ferry tickets are approx 250 - 400 baht (10 US$), and a taxi from the airport to the pier is 500 baht (12US$) per taxi or 100 baht (3 US$) per person on the mini bus.

From Krabi to Phuket
All ferries to Phi Phi Island leave from the new pier in Nam Luk. The journey to Phi Phi Island takes approximately 90 minutes. A taxi from Krabi airport to the ferry pier is about 400 Baht (10 US$) whilst a mini bus is about 100 baht (3 US$) per person. The ferry ticket to Phi Phi Island is about 200 to 250 Baht (5 US$). The morning ferries depart from at 9.30 am and 11 am, whilst the afternoon ferries leave at 3 pm. All ferries from Krabi, dock in Phi Phi Islands' main pier in Tonsai Bay, which is the same pier the Phuket Ferrys dock on as well.

It is advised that when possible, bookings for all hotels listed here, should be made at least 2 days in advance, and 5 days in advance is preferred.
